Ten people driving wine tour on S222
Free forum : Tuscany wine tours - Portal EmptyWed Jun 02, 2010 9:50 pm by Hal O
On Monday, Sept 28, 2010, nine close friends and myself leave Florence in rented autos and venture down S222 on our way to San Gimignano for a two-night stay. We will use the Hotel Pescille as our base to tour the Tuscan countryside, and equally important, the wineries, quaint villages and good food. To lay out the tour, I sure could use a good map, in English, that would help us locate our …

We're staying at Tavarnelle, Tuscany, for 2 weeks and will rent a car. May 22 - June 5th/2010.

We would like to do our own thing and tour a few wineries. (The wine tours are too expensive for our budget)

Where should we start?

Thanks for your help

Jinny Hunter

Rebecca,

Earlier today I sent you a request to join one of your tours. Additionally, I want to visit wineries on my own as I have a car.

Can you provide me with a Web site that details the Chianti Classico region so I can develop a plan to travel to them?

We are staying for 4 nights in Torrita Di Siena (SI).

Wineries and Saturdays
Free forum : Tuscany wine tours - Portal EmptySun May 17, 2009 10:06 pm by azeckel
Hello,

My wife and I are planning to spend a day in Tuscany driving and visiting some wineries. I read in another post on here that most wineries are open Monday through Friday. What about Saturdays? Is there anywhere specific that we should plan or not plan to go based on the day of the week?

Thank you!
